program automatically uncompresses the data.

Archive ID indentifies the actual type of
an archive based on signature rather then by extension of
the archive.
Say you typed REN *.* *.ZIP all lost track
of all the filenames, this program takes a filename
as a parameter and returns the correct type of file so
say FILE.ARJ would turn out to be FILE.ZIP.

types supported in this version are: ARC, ARJ, LHA, PAK,
ZIP, ZOO, RAR, UC2, GIF, JPG, PKLite, PKSFX, WWPack,
